Count-down to spring 2022

We’re counting down the days until the grand opening of the Procuratie Vecchie. Closed to the public for 500 years, we are throwing open the doors in spring 2022 as it becomes the new home of The Human Safety Net, Generali’s global social movement. Come in and find out all about us.

The Procuratie Vecchie once housed Venice’s procuratori, the officials who looked after the city, and whose tasks included not only administration but also social issues and caring for the poor. Now that it is the home of The Human Safety Net, the building has come full circle back to its original social purpose.

Restored by David Chipperfield Architects Milan, with the interior and exhibition design by Migliore + Servetto, the Procuratie Vecchie offers a new vision for a 21st century way of working and interacting, where tradition can merge with the contemporary.

Generali’s story has long been entwined with the history of Venice – that’s why it shares the city’s symbol of the winged lion of St Mark. That is also why Generali is such a strong advocate for Venice’s place on the world stage and is a founding member of the movement to make Venice the world capital of sustainability.
